TOBESOFT to Showcase AI Choreography Analysis Technology Overseas
AI recognition technology is gaining traction in a variety of industries

TOBESOFT (CEO Lee Kyong-chan), a company specializing in AI-based digital transformation, is accelerating its efforts to secure a database (DB) of AI-based choreography recognition technology. The importance of this technology is expected to grow as sports and healthcare continue to adopt advanced AI technologies.

According to TOBESOFT on the 1st, the company introduced “AI-based choreography recognition technology” that further enhances open poses, one of its Human Pose Estimation technologies, at the Kaohsiung Arena in Taiwan, where the K-POP MEGA CONCERT was held on the 13th of last month.

At the Clubmeta booth on the side of Kaohsiung Arena, TOBESOFT directly introduced its choreography recognition technology to local and global fans, and held an AI challenge event using the Clubmeta application.

The Clubmeta app is a platform for users to share their cover dances (imitating a specific dance) and analyze the similarity of their choreography to the original video using TOBESOFT's AI choreography recognition technology.

Participants in the event had the chance to win various prizes and received four stickers featuring Clubmeta characters Cree, Ruby, Mary, and Tabby. As expected for a large concert with 15,000 seats, the event attracted a lot of attention from attendees.

In the future, TOBESOFT will strive to upgrade its technology for more precise and accurate pattern analysis based on the AI DB acquired in real time from online apps as well as offline sites.

In fact, AI motion recognition technology has recently been utilized in various industries such as sports and healthcare, increasing its value and requiring more advanced AI technology.

Semi-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT), a more sophisticated evolution of the video assistant referee (VAR) first introduced at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, made waves at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and AI systems have become indispensable at the Paris Olympics, which kicked off last month with the decision to utilize AI in all aspects of competition operations, including match analysis, refereeing, and athlete protection.

Especially as dance enthusiasts around the world look forward to the 2024 Paris Olympics, where breakdancing will be included as an official sport for the first time, the need for AI motion recognition may increase in the future to ensure fair and accurate judging of skills.

In addition, with the rise of AI in healthcare, including athletic coaching, rehabilitation, and medical services, the battle for databases and technology is more competitive than ever.

“Thanks to the interest of local participants, we have been able to accumulate DB and raise awareness,” said a representative from TOBESOFT. “As each company's AI technology determines the industry, we will continue to actively invest in continuous research and development to lead the AI market.”
