TOBESOFT Appoints Former CTO Da-Woon Lee as New President
“We will focus on our core business and expand our market competitiveness”
TOBESOFT, the AI-powered digital transformation company, today announced the appointment of former TOBESOFT Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Da-Woon Lee as its new President.
Mr. Lee is a well-established engineer who joined the company as CTO in 2018 and served as the head of TOBESOFT's Chinese subsidiary, and is considered to have proven his ability to manage the company based on his understanding of TOBESOFT's products.
“In line with our management policy to organize various new businesses that we have tried in the past and focus on the main business of product-based and product innovation, which are our strengths, we have promoted our CTO, who is an engineer, to the position of president,” said a representative of TOBESOFT. “We expect that the new president, who has both management and leadership skills, will lead technology-oriented innovation in the future.”
The change to a CTO who is an experienced engineer is expected to be a major change for TOBESOFT. The company aims to strengthen its competitiveness by focusing on its capabilities amid changes in the IT and SW industries at home and abroad, and to become a 'new' TOBESOFT by prioritizing management stability and financial improvement internally.
First, Lee plans to expand the market pie by combining Nexacro-based UI/UX tool capabilities with AI and the cloud, and to consolidate its share in existing markets by expanding its lineup through the launch of next-generation products.
In particular, the company plans to maximize added value by actively exploring unexplored fields and industries where TOBESOFT products have not been introduced, and strive to improve sales growth and profitability through portfolio diversification.
Currently, TOBESOFT is focusing on developing a low-code platform based on AI and is preparing to introduce the next generation of products with Nexacro. The company aims to gain a clear advantage in the market with performance and quality that is comparable to foreign products.
“Although there have been many problems such as management changes and financial issues, it is thanks to our unrivaled competitiveness in the UI/UX field that we have been able to maintain the number one market share,” said Lee. “As president, I will continue to focus on the main business of TOBESOFT and renew the overall atmosphere.”
